How create nested sub-category in Xfce menu?

Whisker is the default menu in Xfce. Some menu categories are bloated with rarely used applications. I would like to simplify using the menu by creating a nested sub-category, like Other, and moving the rarely used applications under it. So the regularly-used applications would be a short list, which includes Other, and I can expand Other when needed.

Tools like MenuLibre can create a new top-level category. However, a number of categories warrant this sub-category, so I don’t want to create a bunch of additional Other categories that appear at the top menu level. I’m looking to add a nested sub-category in each bloated category.

My research has yielded instructions for doing this manually via creating edited copies of .desktop and menu files, and editing the menu. I’m not anxious to manually mess with, and potentially need to then troubleshoot, the menu system.

Is there a way to do this in Whisker with automated (and preferably GUI), tools for Debian-family distros, or even an alternate menu application with such a feature built-in, that will run on Debian-family Xfce (version 4.18 and later)?
