Help with HP laptop power issue
Model: (HP EliteBook 850 G5)
Symptom:
- Charger LED lights up briefly then flickers
- Laptop LED + fan tries to start for ~4–5 seconds then shuts down
- Battery disconnected internally
- RAM reseated and tested one stick at a time
- Happens every time, no error codes besides blinking
- No recent drops/liquid damage
Steps already done:
- Power drain resets
- Different RAM configs
- Charger connected only
- No peripherals connected
Does this sound like a known HP blink code? Is there another external diagnostic step I can try?
