I can’t login to wifi from android device using a valid WPA2 password, how can I fix?

I try to connect to Wifi Hotspot using Android.

My android phone (Galaxy S9) says incorrect password.

The HotSpot kernel logs output says iwlwifi 0000:00:14.3: Unhandled alg: 0x707

  • It work from a linux Debian client.
  • It work if I remove the password.

The hotspot kernel is running on : Linux hotspot 4.19.0-6-amd64 #1 SMP Debian 4.19.67-2+deb10u1 (2019-09-20) x86_64 GNU/Linux

On a guess I’d say that Unhandled alg suggests an unsupported cipher.

Any idea on how to repair the secured wifi so I can connect using my android phone?
