Recently my laptop has been slowing down a ton. I use this laptop to code, browse and use Discord, and it’s always been fine until a few days ago.
It’s a fanless laptop, so it gets hot but it usually runs fine.
Upon opening resource monitor through Run on windows, I saw that the maximum frequency is capped at 72%, while a few days ago it would go to 100% just fine.
Here’s a couple of things I tried doing:
- power settings changed to max performance
- registry key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetServicesintelppm (from another post on superuser: CPU utilization won’t go above 30%) changed as the top comment says
- tried to do memcheck and chkdsk, nothing wrong there
Is there anything else I could try?
