Mount Veracrypt encrypted hard drive with Windows 11 on another computer with Windows 11 gives “Operation failed”

I have a old Windows 11 laptop encrypted with Veracrypt that I have removed the m2 hard drive from.

I plugged the m2 hard drive into a USB-C m2 enclosure and connected it to my new Windows 11 computer.

On my new computer I opened Veracrypt and found the old hard drive using VeraCrypt -> “Select Device…”:

Harddisk 1: 1.8TB

  • DeviceHarddisk1Partition 1: 100 MiB
  • DeviceHarddisk1Partition 2: 16 MiB
  • DeviceHarddisk1Partition 3: 1.8 TB
  • DeviceHarddisk1Partition 4: 852 MiB

When I select the 1.8 TB and drive “A:”, then Mount, then enter the encryption password I get the following error:

  • Operation failed due to one or more of the following:
  • Incorrect password
  • Incorrect Volume PIM number
  • Incorrect PRF (hash)
  • Not valid volume
  • Volume uses and old algorithm that has been removed
  • TrueCrypt format volumes are no longer supported.

I am positive the password is correct.

I have also the “VeraCrypt Rescue Disk” saved on a USB disk named Lenovo-Idepad-Gaming-3-15IHU6.zip:
