On another one of my computers, when I’m in file explorer and I drag an .mp4 video onto my walkman (model NWZ-E354), file explorer/WMP asks if I would like to convert it to .wmv before copying (since the Walkman I have doesn’t support .mp4). But on my current computer, it just copies the .mp4 as-is, which ends up being unplayable.
I did some looking into it and it looks like windows media player isn’t recognizing my walkman as a media playing device. Everywhere I go they tell me to open WMP go to Organize > Options > Devices, click Properties and check an option called “Convert files as necessary”. When I follow those steps I do not see that option anywhere, just a few greyed-out options.
Is my windows media player corrupted or something?
So, to summarize the question, does anyone know how to get that conversion prompt back? I am using Windows 10, OS build 19045.5965 by the way.
