Multi-currency payment processing pioneer Planet Payment (LON:PPT) said its iPay payment gateway solution is now available to merchants on the Magento e-commerce platform.
Magento is a scalable open-source e-commerce solution used by more than 125,000 businesses, and is owned by eBay, the online auction site.
The iPay gateway and its multi-currency payment solution, Shop in Your Currency, allow merchants to target international markets by enabling international customers to view pricing and pay in their home currencies, while merchants still get paid in their own.
“With Magento’s multi-lingual language support, among many other features, we think the platform will be a great fit for our multi-currency enabled payment gateway,” said Scott Goldthwaite, senior vice president of Product Management Marketing at Planet Payment.
Last week the company said it expects to see continuing growth in active merchant locations during the rest of 2012.
That statement followed hot on the heels of the group’s first move into Brazil through a deal with Cielo, the leader in electronic payment processing in Latin America.
