I just completed an test system install of Debian 10 on an older laptop. (Full system install on HD)
Completed a full LAMP install with wordpress and installed ufw and set to only allow ssh and http/https.
Everything working. ufw commands confirmed only specified ports allowed yesterday in checking after install. Completed late last night. Went in this morning to enable ftp to system and now ufw commands not found (either directly as root or through sudo from primary user account) and when investigating an apt list it’s not showing ufw as installed?
What could cause this? I did the standard debian package wordpress install which included php and other dependencies as well as installing required SQL database after system setup. Could this remove ufw? It is the only additional thing done after OS setup.
Or-system compromised after installation and removed by someone else? But on a home wireless network that has it’s own firewall and security implemented on a second wireless subnet. At a loss here.
Not sure where ufw gets installed by default.
