USB 2.0 ports turning off after lid is closed on Asus Vivobook Laptop

So recently I’ve been using my laptop in “Dock mode” I get home, plug in the HDMI cable, a mouse and a keyboard. I then close the lid and use the computer normaly. However, since this morning, I’ve been having issues where the keyboard and mouse stops working. I have to unplug them and plug them back in, then they work again. But since a few hours ago, the USB devices power off right after I close the lid. It has never happened before and it’s so weird because the USB 3.0 port is still working since the USB drive is still active. It only happens with the USB 2.0 ports. I’ve been using the laptop with the lid open since then, but it’s kind of uncomfortable, and I’d like to use it in the dock like before.
It’s not a Windows problem because even when I went into the UEFI to check for a possible toggle to disable/enable lid activity detection and closed the lid after tweaking some settings the USB devices still turned off, so it must be a hardware issue, what I don’t understand is why only the USB 2.0 ports and why it never happened before.

My hardware is an ASUS VivoBook Model X560UD / Keyboard is a Razer Ornata Chroma / mouse is a Razer Deathader 2013.
