Nature Publishing Group (NPG) is a division of Macmillan Publishers Ltd, dedicated to serving the academic, professional scientific and medical communities.
Nature Arabic Edition has a vacancy for a Web Developer.
This position involves working as part of a small editorial team on the online presence a new and exciting Arabic publication.
The Web Developer will take a leading role in front-end development and implementation, as well as assist with content and backend development, and any other online project required.
Skills
To meet these challenging tasks, the ideal candidate will have solid coding and web design skills, competence in XML/XHTML/HTML5/CSS3/SASS (should be able to standards compliant code from scratch), competence in JQuery (should understand Jquery library and be able to implement new functions), and know their way around PHP, and Adobe Photoshop.
Knowledge of Zend Framework a considerable plus.
Main duties of role: Create, update and manage websites for Nature Arabic Edition, natureasia.com and custom publishing projects.
This position is located in our Cairo office.
