I have a “Windows 10 Pro” computer, on which I change the account to a microsoft-enabled (I do mean an account that is be attached to an …@hotmail.com account.
Today I wanted to logon to this computer (which was off for the last 8+ months..), and found out that this account does NOT have admin rights.
(I am use my old account had admin rights, but that does not help in this case…)
So status currenly
- I do have a normal (local) user account and I can use that to logon.
- I do have a “microsoft-enabled”-account
When I try to logon with this last account, I am getting message that my password is incorrect, so I tried resetting the password, of which I did get confirmation mails on my @hotmail.com account!
After that I do get a message: “Your device is offline. Please sign in with the last password used on this device”
-
I needed to change the password for my @hotmail.com account to change the password for this “microsoft-enabled”-account, so this computer is online (I did receive a message on my authenticator app.
-
I do not know the old password (The password needed a change when creating this
"microsoft-enabled"-account)
What to do now? Any suggestions on enabling an ADMIN account are welcome.
