I am using Windows 11 Pro 25H2 with Intel 275HX Graphics + Nvidia 5070 Ti Laptop GPU.
I have disabled the integrated GPU in BIOS settings and only use Nvidia graphics.
I have 2 problems:
Problem 1 started 2-3 months ago. The screen will go black with “The description for Event ID 0 from source nvlddmkm cannot be found” error in the Event Viewer. Sometimes it would resolve on its own after a few seconds. Sometimes I would hibernate using the physical power button and then start again, and the problem would be resolved.
Problem 2 started last week. Randomly, UI will become very slow. I will not get any error in the event viewer, including “nvlddmkm” error. CPU/memory/disk/GPU loads are all low. Temperatures are also low. Hibernating/sleeping and then starting again will resolve this, too.
I don’t know if both problems are related or not.
I have tried:
-
Installing the latest drivers as well as rolling back to old drivers that were working properly via clean install feature.
-
Disabling smart battery mode in BIOS settings
But nothing worked so far.
