I had an ASUS M5A99FX Pro 2.0 motherboard running Debian Trixie Linux in CLI mode on a server. The motherboard failed after a power outage. I had another motherboard of the same model running the same version of Linux, except using the KDE desktop, and with completely different peripheral cards. […]

As mentioned in this previous question, I’d like to see what my application is doing. Now I am already capable of merging different event logs into one, but I still can’t see the message (currently in “General” tab) in the list above (I need to open each event log entry […]

I have recently noticed this behavior of ARP in Windows 11 and Server 2025 – it seems novel compared to Windows 10, and it’s a pain. Scenario: assume I have a machine with two network interfaces. Let’s say a notebook with LAN and wifi. Or a machine that has direct […]

When switching between multiple live video streams on a single-page layout, memory usage steadily increases despite destroying the previous HLS instance. In Chrome DevTools memory profiling, I noticed that SourceBuffer memory is retained until full […]

I have been running a pangolin 11 laptop for a few months now. I enjoyed playing around with Arch Linux but decided I was crashing my computer too often with interrupted pacman -Syu calls. Two days ago I switched to PopOs as that was what originally shipped with the laptop […]
