I have good 300 keyboard shortcuts defined in my main work app. On Linux, I remapped all system/desktop shortcuts so that they all use super/win key. In this way, I made it possible for my app to use every key combination that does not include the super key.
I need to migrate this key-map to Windows in order to stay sane and not swear several times a minute, which sadly brings me into conflict with built-in key combinations in Windows, which Microsoft was not kind enough to make configurable. One of the main is alt+tab, and I hope the solution will be adaptable to all.
PowerToys and AutoHotkey allow me to:
- Map another key combination so that it triggers alt+tab;
- Disable alt+tab.
None of which satisfies me, because the second option disables it also in app windows, preventing me from using it myself for something else. Can I make the OS simply not intercept alt-tab, without preventing applications from handling it?
