Gorilla Group, an award-winning e-commerce solution provider, has announced that they have again been honored by the non-profit Interactive Media Council, winning four (4) Interactive Media Awards (IMAs) for work on behalf of their clients. The awards, three in the E-Commerce category, including two best in class designations, and one for Beauty Cosmetics, brings the total to a half dozen IMAs Gorilla Group has won in 2012 alone.

“To have our work recognized by our industry peers at the IMC is always an honor.” said Ethan Smith, Creative Director at Gorilla Group. “But to be recognized with multiple IMA awards in a single category is an extraordinary achievement for Gorilla.”

The three awards in the e-commerce category underscore Gorilla Group’s ability to deliver engaging e-commerce experiences, as well as build functional, customer-centric solutions for client’s across a broad range of industries. The winning sites include Best in Class awards in E-Commerce for Schoolhouse Electric and The Peanut Roaster, Outstanding achievement in E-Commerce for Vista Higher Learning, and Outstanding Achievement in Beauty Cosmetics for Tru Fragrance’s Tru Blooms microsite.

The Peanut Roaster (peanut.com) project involved a full redesign and re-platform to the Magento platform. The clean, product-driven site expands and simplifies customized gifting options, and adds subscription-based ordering options for the brand’s devoted customers. To reach multiple audiences across the secondary and collegiate education sectors, the Vista Higher Learning solution includes 3 primary e-commerce storefronts and over 50 branded microsites. Integral to their business, the new site fully supports the ability to fulfill both physical textbooks and supporting materials and virtual, digitally downloadable products. Schoolhouse Electric Supply Company, which was developed in part with VSA Partners, operates in the fine housewares category, with a focus on period lighting and fixtures. The site includes a number of functional enhancements to support ordering and fulfillment of the brand’s wide selection made-to-order lighting products.

The Tru Blooms microsite, which was honored in the Beauty Cosmetics category, is part of an initiative by Chicago-based Tru Fragrance to produce a women’s perfume sourced entirely from locally grown botanicals to capture the city’s essence. The site serves as a beautiful and informative showcase for this unique public/private-sector partnership.
