Looking for help demystifying corrupt mp4 file

I am hoping to get some help. We have a .mp4 file that was created by a security software program called Blue Iris that is now corrupt. They don’t seem to be able to help much and now, the footage is needed in a court case. We know that Blue Iris uses ffmpeg (although I am not sure what version) so I am seeing if someone here could point me in the right direction.

What’s the best way to gather as much information on the .mp4 file to see what the issue is and if there is any way to repair? Also, if there a firm that anyone has used that does well with corrupt video files, similar to video forensics?

I suspect it may be some sort of container issue because the file size is indicative that data was recorded.

Thanks!
