Magento Invites Developers to Las Vegas for Annual Conference

Magento announced Tuesday that its 2012 conference will take place in Las Vegas on April 23-25, 2011. eBay acquired the ecommerce company this year and made Magento a key part of its “commerce operating system,” known as X.commerce.

The annual Magento conference attracts developers from around the world, and last year’s Imagine event in Los Angeles was sold out. Tickets to next year’s event will go on sale next month on January 18, and the company is expecting over 1,000 attendees.

Last year’s event included keynotes by Magento founders Roy Rubin and Yoav Kutner as well as executives at PayPal, Zappos, Nordstrom, GoDaddy, Eucalyptus Systems and Forrester Research. Magento is now calling for papers and has a limited number of speaking spots available for both technical and business tracks.

More information about this year’s event and next year’s plans are available on the Magento Imagine Commerce homepage.
