I have an HP Victus laptop that’s about 15 months old. Today, it started freezing up randomly, every 5 minutes or so, only for about a second at a time. The screen freezes, audio pauses, the mouse won’t move, and keys pressed on the keyboard don’t register.
A friend suggested that it’s possibly caused by an overburdened CPU since I only have 8GB of RAM, but I still get the freezes with minimal programs open and task manager showing CPU usage of 60-70%. I’ve tried restarting my computer several times and updating windows and neither of these fixed the problem.
