This command in a script which runs repeatedly in both test and a production environment and has been running for years now sometimes fails to create a name for the file. So, first off, there already exists this post: Constructing a readonly Windows system partition? And I would like to ask for a bit of flexibility, while technically, this is essentially a duplicate, I think that I can make this slightly more specific in scope (windows 11) and also practically restart […]
I used to have a keyboard shortcut in Windows 10 that opened a recent files list or menu, possibly connected to Virtual Desktops or Task View. It would pop up a cool overlay menu (sometimes from the taskbar area) showing recent files or activity. Does anyone remember what that shortcut […]
Out of the blue a Lenovo B590 will not proceed past this screen: None of the options work. I’m returned to the same screen each time. I put a Windows 10 bootable iso on a thumb drive but that doesn’t work either. The bios drive scanner found no bad sectors. […]

Is it possible to display the results of a formula in Excel with two different number formats? If so, how do you accomplish this? For example, =a1 & b1, with the reference in a1 formatted to be 0+00 and the reference in b1 formatted to be a whole number with […]
I recently had to reinstall Windows 11 on my laptop, so the hard disk has been overwritten. The disk was encrypted and has since been re-encrypted. If I install Debian on it, is it still possible to recover lost files from Windows 11? If so, which tool(s) do I use?
