I want to identify any duplicate files so I can manage my drive space better and eventually delete them to save space.
For example, using Command Prompt or PowerShell, I could possibly search for a specific file, see its path, and check if there are duplicate files in other folders on that specific drive.
I decided to update my question to be clearer about my needs. Sorry for the confusion caused by not clearly stating which items I wanted to check for duplicates. I’m aware that I should avoid modifying system or application files unless I know what I’m doing.
Specifically, I am only looking for duplicates of my personal files, such as videos and images. I’ve been backing up files from my personal devices to my computer across different directories; because there are so many files, I want a way to identify and handle duplicates quickly and easily without manually searching through every folder in File Explorer.

Is there a way to quickly and easily check for duplicate files on a Windows 11 Home Single Language (version 25H2) machine?

Is it possible without using third-party software?
